We’re all Falling

In a post on this blog a couple of years back I wondered why so many other writers were copying my book title (while realising intellectually that the word ‘Falling’ has a certain profound gravitas and je ne sais quoi artists are naturally drawn to);

So imagine my surprise/delight/jealousy/bemusement while standing in line at the post office the other day and seeing a book called Falling by a writer called John Connor (probably not the one from The Terminator) on the shelves.

Not only that, none other than Stephen King retweeted Connor himself about something he’d read and was recommending not three days later (a sign?).

I wonder if anyone will ever see my book on a shelf and think ‘God, give the word ‘Falling’ a rest, man! John Connolly, TJ Newman, Neal Stephenson and countless others have already done it…’
